OpenAI has upgraded ChatGPT's model selection system to be significantly smarter, according to a recent Android Authority report. Previously, users had to manually switch between different GPT models depending on the type of query they needed answered. Now, ChatGPT itself analyzes each prompt and automatically routes it to the most suitable model behind the scenes.
For instance, complex coding problems, mathematical calculations, or questions requiring deep reasoning will automatically be handled by a more powerful reasoning model, while simpler conversational queries will be processed by a faster, standard model. This dynamic routing eliminates the need for users to open a model menu and manually choose, resulting in a smoother overall experience.
The update is particularly beneficial for students, developers, and content creators in Myanmar who rely on ChatGPT for daily tasks. Even users without technical knowledge of different AI models can now easily access optimal performance, as the system intelligently adapts to their needs in real time.
This improvement reflects a broader trend among AI assistants toward greater autonomy and user-friendliness, reducing friction in everyday interactions while maintaining high-quality responses across a wide range of use cases.
