In Guangdong Province, China, Leju Robotics and Dongfang Precision have jointly established the country's first large-scale humanoid robot factory capable of mass-producing up to 10,000 humanoid robots per year.
The factory's production rate is truly impressive. It can produce one humanoid robot every 30 minutes, with 24 production stages and up to 77 quality inspections conducted meticulously. Thanks to smart digital systems, the production line can flexibly switch between different robot models without stopping, which is one of the factory's distinctive features.
Quality control is extremely rigorous. Before any robot leaves the factory, it undergoes an additional 41 inspection tests to ensure it can perform well under various real-world conditions. The entire production process is not only fast but also highly reliable thanks to autonomous transport vehicles and control systems.
Currently, other Chinese tech companies such as Agibot, UBTECH, and Unitree are also actively entering this competition. Some companies are preparing to reduce the price of a single robot below $20,000, while others are making massive investments exceeding $580 million to achieve annual production capacity of up to 75,000 units.
