China is preparing to open the world's first fully robot-operated hotel on the West Artificial Island of the Shenzhen-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge in early 2027. The hotel will be staffed entirely by robots with no human employees and will feature restaurants, sports facilities, and modern guest amenities.

Advanced robots manufactured by Pudu Robotics will replace human staff, handling guest greetings, luggage assistance, in-room service, food delivery, cleaning, security patrols, and guest guidance services.

The hotel will open in phases, with trial operations beginning in late 2026 before the full opening in early 2027 to welcome guests.

The project is part of a broader plan to transform the artificial island into a robot technology and innovation-based tourism attraction within China's Greater Bay Area.
