Due to the ongoing wars and tensions in the world, there is a strong warning from Nobel Prize-winning physicist David Gross that a major nuclear war capable of wiping out humanity could occur within the next 35 years.
According to the calculations of the renowned scientist, there is approximately a 2 percent annual chance of a nuclear war occurring, and if it continues at this rate, humanity's remaining safe survival span would be only about 35 more years.
He stated that the situation is being made worse by the collapse of previous arms control agreements, the existence of up to 9 nuclear-armed nations, and the fact that nobody cares about international rules anymore.
The worst part is the integration of AI technology into modern weapon systems, which makes the world even more unstable. To avoid reaching this dangerous crossroads, David Gross suggests that major powers have no choice but to set aside their egos and engage in open and honest discussions with each other.
