Apple's new iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max have hit the market and are facing display issues within just a week, with users experiencing vertical green, purple, and red lines appearing on their screens. This problem persists even after a full reset, and users across multiple countries including India have encountered it. Some have reportedly been offered replacement phones by Apple.
Regarding the display defect, most users are criticizing Samsung's display panels installed in the phones as the potential cause. From a technical perspective, since Samsung's own phones have also experienced similar vertical line issues, some are speculating that the defect may have transferred to Apple's screens. However, there is no solid evidence confirming whether this problem is definitely caused by the display component or determining how many units are affected.
Apple has not released any official statement regarding this issue. In reality, this display line problem is not new—it has occurred in previous models including iPhone X, iPhone 13, and iPhone 14 Pro. Despite the iPhone 18 Pro series being relatively expensive, the devices have excellent market demand, so the timing of these display-related issues is unfortunate.
