A store with zero human employees has appeared near the iconic Lujiazui, Pudong New Area in Shanghai. Named "Galbot Shop" and styled in a striking silver capsule design, it stops passersby in their tracks. Inside the compact 9-square-meter space, a small robot nicknamed "Little Gal" is the sole employee, handling everything on her own. She's not just standing there like a statue — say "Little Gal, can I get a cola?" and she immediately responds, reaches to the shelf, and delivers the item to the counter. Created by Galbot, the robot can sell products, process payments, and even recommend what to buy. Most impressively, she operates 24 hours a day with no days off. When her battery runs low, she charges herself automatically — and can even be operated remotely. Small as the store is, it's well-stocked — selling over 300 items from snacks and beverages to household medicines. It can handle up to 2,000 visitors and around 500 orders per day, and has reportedly increased foot traffic in the surrounding area by 30 to 40 percent. Ref: Nation Thailand
