SpaceX conducted its initial public offering (IPO) as the largest public company listed on the standard exchange on June 12, 2026, raising up to $75 billion in capital with a valuation of nearly $1.8 trillion. Within days thereafter, the share price soared from around $150 to nearly $226, and the company's market value temporarily reached over $2.9 trillion.

However, the shares that had risen with such momentum fell sharply like a plummeting stone. On June 22, the stock market cooled down for three consecutive days, including a drop of 16 percent in share price, before closing around $154.60, which remained above the historical starting price. On June 23, while the share price temporarily dipped below the initial offering price of $150, it recovered by approximately 1 percent and closed higher, thereby ending the three-day consecutive price decline.

During those three days, as investors massively sold off their shares, the company's market value plummeted by over $600 billion like a falling star, and SpaceX's valuation fell to around $2 trillion. SpaceX's share price continues to maintain above $135 per share, which was their original IPO price.
