Elon Musk Offers Free Starlink Internet for Venezuela
SpaceX's Starlink is now providing free high-speed satellite internet service to politically unstable Venezuela.
SpaceX's Starlink, owned by Elon Musk, is now providing free high-speed satellite internet to the politically unstable nation of Venezuela.
The offer runs through February 3, 2026, with the company stating the goal is to ensure Venezuelan citizens maintain uninterrupted internet access.
Venezuela is currently experiencing political turmoil following the capture of President Nicolas Maduro in a US military operation, with electricity and internet outages occurring across the country.
In this context, Elon Musk shared Starlink's announcement on his X (formerly Twitter) social media page with the comment: "In support of the people of Venezuela."
As a result, both existing Starlink users and those newly installing equipment can use the internet for free through February 3, without paying any monthly fees.
