At a US-Saudi investment forum, Tesla CEO Elon Musk predicted that within 10 to 20 years, work will no longer be a necessity for humans — it will become optional. With advances in AI and robotics, the demand for traditional jobs may diminish, and working will become something you do for passion, like playing sports or gaming. Musk also suggested that in a future dominated by AI and robots, money itself may become irrelevant. As technology advances, traditional financial systems could fade, and only physical resources like energy and raw materials would remain as limiting factors. He believes humanoid robots could become a bigger industry than smartphones and could be the key to eliminating global poverty. Robots like Tesla's Optimus will genuinely end poverty, he said, with other companies also entering the humanoid robot space. Musk concluded that AI and robotics is the only path to making everyone wealthy. Technological innovation will free humans from traditional workplaces and fundamentally transform the global economy.
