UniX AI company has introduced a humanoid robot named Panther that can practically assist with household chores in China. The company claims that this robot is the first advanced-level robot in the world that can enter homes and perform work.
Panther is a wheeled humanoid robot with 34 joints in its body, and equipped with cameras and sensors, it can perform tasks step-by-step even in complex home environments. It will automatically arrange tasks using AI systems such as waking up the homeowner, preparing meals, cleaning rooms, and organizing items in an orderly manner.
The robot stands 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 80 kilograms. It is equipped with a 48-volt power system that can operate for 8 to 16 hours on a single charge. Although experts still see challenges in terms of price and reliability, they assess that such multi-purpose household robots like this are getting quite close to entering our practical everyday life.
