WhatsApp has introduced a new feature called Guest Calling, which allows people who don't have a WhatsApp account to join phone calls. Under this system, a user can generate a call link and share it with others, enabling recipients to join the call without needing to install the app.

To use this feature, a phone number is no longer required. Guests simply need to enter their name to join the call directly. The feature reportedly works across group calls, video calls, and voice calls. WhatsApp has confirmed that end-to-end encryption will remain active for all guest-joined calls, maintaining the platform's privacy standards.

The Guest Calling feature is currently rolling out gradually to both Android and iOS users. Since WhatsApp remains one of the most widely used messaging apps in Myanmar, this update is expected to make everyday communication more convenient for users.

The ability to easily connect with people who don't have WhatsApp accounts could prove especially useful for businesses and casual conversations alike, removing a long-standing barrier to quick, flexible communication.
