A 50-year-old woman who refused to leave Meta's Menlo Park campus after demanding to meet CEO Mark Zuckerberg was arrested in the early morning of January 5. The woman, identified as Taina Felix, arrived by taxi. Security told her that Zuckerberg was not present, but she refused to leave — leading police to arrest her for trespassing.
She was charged with trespassing and taken to the county jail. District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe noted that it was unusual to jail someone solely for trespassing, but it may have been because she refused to sign a citation acknowledging the violation. The police report does not specify the exact reason she wanted to meet Zuckerberg.
Later that afternoon, the court released her on her own recognizance and denied a request for a restraining order keeping her away from Meta's campus. The DA expressed surprise at the denial, saying he could not understand the reasoning.
Felix had also been arrested in 2015 at San Francisco International Airport for entering a restricted area and making false statements to police. She had no criminal record since then, but her current case has a court date set for April 6, 2026.
