The new iPad Air that Apple fans have been waiting for is finally here. The exterior design and price remain the same, but the new M4 chip inside delivers a remarkable performance boost.
The new iPad Air is powered by an M4 chipset with an 8-core CPU and 9-core GPU, making it 30% faster than the previous M3 model. A highlight is the RAM upgrade from 8GB to 12GB, meaning gaming, multitasking, and AI tasks will all run smoothly without any lag.
The most notable new addition is Apple's own N1 and C1X wireless connectivity chips, included for the first time. The N1 chip supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, while cellular models featuring the C1X modem offer 5G speeds that are 50% faster and battery consumption that is 30% lower.
Display sizes of 11-inch and 13-inch are available. The new iPad Air is available for pre-order starting March 4 and will officially go on sale on March 11. Pricing stays the same as before — starting at $599 for the 11-inch model and $799 for the 13-inch model.
