Honor has officially unveiled its next-generation foldable phone, the Magic V6, in China. It features Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a large 7,150mAh battery. Pricing starts at around $1,250 for the 12GB/256GB model, going up to approximately $1,670 for the top 1TB model. The phone's key attraction is its 'black diamond screen' — an extremely durable display. The outer screen is 3 times more resistant than previous models, and the inner screen uses a 'seamless crease' design that reduces crease visibility by 44%. Both displays are very bright with eye protection certifications, and the company says they are durable enough to withstand even a needle scratch. In terms of design, at 219 grams and just 8.75mm thick when folded, it ranks among the lightest and thinnest foldables available. Despite its slim profile, it carries an IP68/IP69 water resistance rating (usable up to 4 meters deep) and packs a large battery. The camera system features a 64MP telephoto lens with AI-assisted photography features. The phone also includes an 'AI Intelligence Officer' that can alert users to news and schedules, plus an AI translation system supporting 14 languages. It supports satellite messaging and multiple 5G networks. Most interestingly, it includes features for connecting with Apple devices like Mac, iCloud, and AirPods. Ref: Gizmochina
