Xiaomi Smart Glasses Can Now Pay Parking Fees With a Voice Command
Xiaomi has teamed up with Alibaba's Alipay to let users pay parking fees hands-free with a simple voice command through their smart glasses — no phone, no wallet needed.
Pulling out your phone to scan a QR code or scrambling for your wallet at the parking exit can be a real hassle. Now, Alibaba's Alipay and Xiaomi have teamed up to solve that problem. Simply wear Xiaomi's smart glasses, say "Xiao Ai, pay the parking fee," and it's done.
The system works impressively. As soon as you enter the parking structure, the AI in the glasses alerts you that the meter has started. When you're ready to leave, a voice command prompts the system to confirm the amount due and automatically process the payment — letting drivers exit without lifting a finger.
The technology uses Ant Group's GPASS and AHA systems, along with Voiceprint Recognition for security. When linked to your Alipay account, entry and exit data is sent directly to the glasses, and the feature is already live across many Alipay Smart Parking networks in major cities.
And there's more — the glasses also feature an AI health assistant called Ant Afu for health-related queries. With a 12-megapixel camera and advanced features, Xiaomi's smart glasses may well be a must-try gadget for tech enthusiasts.
