XtraSure, a leading Apple Authorized Reseller company providing the best Apple Experience in Myanmar, held a digital literacy training program for visually impaired individuals on June 24 at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Yangon as the first step of its "Towards Better Days" corporate social responsibility initiative. The training was conducted in cooperation with Yangon School for the Blind (Kyaikwat) and with the support of trainer Ma Wai Phoo, providing practical instruction for visually impaired individuals.

As an Apple Authorized Reseller, XtraSure not only sells high-quality Apple products with excellent Apple service experience, but is also implementing corporate social responsibility activities through the "Towards Better Days" program that will contribute to better daily lives for Myanmar's society. The main objective of the program is to make digital technology accessible to visually impaired individuals and to support them in living more comfortably and independently in their daily lives.

The first training session of the program was attended by 30 visually impaired trainees. The trainees were primarily taught about basic usage gestures (Voice-over, Siri, Accessibility Shortcuts and Control Center) that are included in devices that make using mobile phones easier and more proficiently, using Navigation with advanced AI assistance, and creating and editing innovative videos using iMovie. The trainees practiced hands-on with iOS devices to independently carry out communication, information searching, and daily tasks without reliance on others. This program reflects XtraSure's belief that improving accessibility to digital technology can enhance quality of life.

"Since founding XtraSure in 2013, we have not only been selling authentic and quality Apple products and providing the best Apple Experience to our customers, but we have also aimed to truly transform people's daily lives through the use of technology," said Ko Nay Myo Aung, spokesperson for XtraSure. "Our partnership with Yangon School for the Blind (Kyaikwat) is because, while they have their own abilities, confidence and efforts, if we provide the necessary support, appropriate technology and training, their daily lives can become easier and they can reach their goals more readily. Through our 'Towards Better Days' program, we believe we can create new opportunities and better days for them," he added.

Additionally, one of the trainees, Ko Awe Ko, shared that "this training has completely transformed the way I use my phone. Previously, I had to rely on others for many things. Now I'll be able to handle work matters independently and communicate as I wish through my phone, which is truly encouraging. This kind of training is really what we need. I'm also happy that during the training, we got to use the devices practically and share experiences and information with each other. I'm grateful to XtraSure and Ma Wai Phoo."

Similarly, trainer Ma Wai Phoo also said, "Previously, there were insufficient opportunities and support to learn these kinds of technologies. Since I had to study and learn these myself, there were difficulties, and it was challenging to gain comprehensive and systematic knowledge about technology. I'm especially grateful that XtraSure has created this opportunity. I'm proud that I can share the knowledge I've gained and help my community." she stated.

Through the "Towards Better Days" CSR program, XtraSure aims to make digital skills more accessible to visually impaired individuals. Going forward, XtraSure will continue to provide quality, authentic and excellent Apple Experience to its customers and will continue to support socially beneficial activities for Myanmar's society.
