Tesla has renamed its Full Self-Driving feature to Tesla Assisted Driving on its European websites. This change was made primarily to obtain necessary approvals for autonomous driving technology within European Union countries. Currently, the renamed pages include Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands, reflecting Tesla's focus on the European market.

The original name was changed after Germany raised concerns that "Full Self-Driving" could mislead consumers into thinking the vehicle can operate completely autonomously without human intervention. Although Tesla has updated the name, the technology remains an assisted driving system rather than a fully autonomous driving system. Therefore, Tesla emphasizes that drivers must remain alert and ready to take control of the vehicle at any time.

The technology has been approved in eight European countries so far. While Tesla continues to seek expansion in additional countries, an EU-wide decision has been postponed until at least December.
