The US Air Force has achieved a remarkable milestone by successfully testing AI-controlled modern fighter jets capable of autonomous flight. The tests utilized F-16 fighter aircraft, with human pilots accompanying the flights and monitoring emergency situations.

These test flights were conducted at an Air Force base in Florida in collaboration with DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency). Testing began in June, and by July, the AI system successfully took direct control of the aircraft, marking a significant technological milestone in the defense sector.

Currently, the technology is undergoing continued testing before full military deployment. However, future military operations are expected to benefit from coordinated efforts between manned aircraft piloted by human pilots and unmanned AI-controlled aircraft, potentially enabling highly effective combat capabilities.
