BYD has partnered with KFC in China to introduce a new Drive-thru service that saves time for EV car drivers. Drivers will be able to fully charge their vehicles in just 9 minutes while picking up fried chicken at KFC.

This service is initially available on BYD's Fang Cheng Bao Tai 7 SUV model, allowing users to conveniently order food from inside the car.

The ability to charge this quickly is made possible by BYD's latest Blade Battery 2.0 and Flash Charging technology. The battery can reach 70% capacity from 10% in just 5 minutes, and 97% capacity in 9 minutes. With a charging rate of up to 1,500 kW, drivers will have enough charge to continue their journey during the time they spend eating their meal.

The initiative has already begun testing in China, and BYD plans to expand this service to major markets worldwide by installing more ultra-fast charging stations. This will bring convenience to EV owners, freeing them from the anxiety of waiting for their vehicles to charge while they enjoy their meal.
