As a groundbreaking step that will shake the technology world, NVIDIA and LG have partnered to create a humanoid robot equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

To develop this bipedal humanoid robot, the two major tech companies signed an agreement on August 13, 2026, and are planning an official launch in the first quarter of 2027.

NVIDIA's advanced technologies will be used as the core brain of this humanoid robot. The robot will utilize NVIDIA's Isaac GR00T AI model to understand the surrounding environment, accurately perform assigned tasks, and control movements.

Additionally, NVIDIA Jetson Thor will power the onboard computer system, while NVIDIA's Halos for Robotics will handle security aspects.

LG will take full responsibility for developing and manufacturing the essential hardware components needed for the robot. LG Electronics will handle locomotion-related components, LG Innotek will supply sensors, and LG Energy Solution will provide batteries—the lifeblood of the robot.

Currently, since the humanoid robot has not been officially introduced, we will be keenly watching for details on the final design, performance capabilities, and pricing that will be revealed in the coming time.
