Chinese private space company InterstellOr has announced that its first crewed commercial spaceflight will launch in 2028. The mission will include famous actor Johnny Huang Jingyu as a passenger, who has been confirmed as passenger #009. A single ticket is priced at ¥3 million (approximately $417,000 USD), with a 10% deposit required to reserve a seat. Currently, over 12 people from various fields have already signed contracts, including Johnny Huang, AgiBot CMO Qiu Heng, engineer Li Liteng, and several business executives. The InterstellOr-1 (CYZ1) spacecraft will be China's first commercially crewed vehicle. On January 18, the company successfully tested the landing buffer system, making it only the third company in the world to master this technology. Founded in 2023, InterstellOr focuses on reusable spacecraft technology. The company plans to complete vehicle construction within the next 3-4 years, aiming to launch commercial space tourism operations in China and across Asia by around 2028. Ref: pandaily
